President Michel has expressed satisfaction with the work of the emergency response teams and clean-up efforts following the heavy rainfall this weekend, which caused central areas of Mahé to be flooded, as well as some parts of Praslin and La Digue.

A DAY NEVER TO FORGET……
On the 27 to 28th January 2013 the eastern coast of the Seychelles main Island of Mahe was devastated by Tropical Depression “Felleng” and the island La Digue was severely affected. Aproximately 1000 families were affected by floods and lanslide. 246 families were registered  as displaced after their houses were either destroyed or damaged.
